February 14. 2020

We were so thrilled to spend the day with the toddlers and preschoolers at Gulfstream Early Learning Center in Hallandale. We spent time making friendship hearts with each class, and loved sharing our Friendship Book story with them. It was a wonderful way to honor our lost classmates and friends, and our hearts and minds were with them all day. We love being able to spread joy and the love of reading with others.

Kindness Club Visit

We loved visiting the Kindness Club at Pinewood Elementary school. With the two-year anniversary approaching of MSD, it feels good to do good things. It was really nice to hear from the students things they do in their own communities to be helpful. All children can be helpful at any age, and they had so many ideas of how to kind. We are very thankful for the books they donated so many books to us, and we had fun wrapping them together. We loved seeing the students work together and we really appreciated the opportunity to share what we do. We have also finalized our plans for February 14, 2020 and will be spreading lots of cheer. We will keep you posted on our next steps.

Check us Out

Happy Birthday to US. We each turned four years old and we LOVE our presents. We can read the books at home with our family and play with our new toys as well. Thank you to all who donate to give a special child a special day…because every child deserves to feel special on their special day.

Spread the Word

We were thrilled to receive some wonderful press from Coral Springs Talk to help us spread the word so we could spread more birthday cheer. We love to see the smiles each week from our birthday kids and we are expanding with our new early learning center in Hallandale Beach, Florida. We are still looking for donations so please go to our Home page to learn how you can directly impact the life of a child. Birthdays and Books On the Move

The Head Start Four year old class at our first school started giving gifts to their birthday students. We love to get photos from the teacher and see the smiling faces of each child, now turning four years old. We now have an opportunity to expand to another early learning center where there are many more preschool classes. Donations are needed now more then ever, so that we can quickly get gifts and wrap them for all the upcoming birthdays. We will be giving gifts to any child we may missed as well. Check out our Home Page to learn more about how to donate. We would love to partner with honor societies, scout groups, and any other charitable organizations. Thank you.

First Birthdays and Books Drop Off Successful

The first day of school can often leave us feeling a bit sad.  This school year marked 18 months since tragedy struck our community, and left us thinking about our friends and classmates who were not sharing in this rite of passage with us.  It was the perfect day to spread some cheer.  On August 14, 2019, Birthdays and Books had its first drop off of newly wrapped toys and books.  We are thrilled to have provided for each child in the Head Start Four year old class at a local school. We are busy working on securing more donations for our second class, and can’t wait for our second class to also be a “wrap.”  Click on the HOME button above to learn more about what we do, and how you can help.  A small act of kindness can have a big impact.
